After losing his wife to cancer, Bruce contemplated giving up his lifelong passion of bird watching. Determined, he gathered the courage to return to the fields, but cruelly his eyesight began to fail soon after. This is his story.
This film highlights the benefits of cataracts surgery through Bruce’s emotional journey. It’s aim was to champion the exceptional vision loss treatment on offer at Nuffield Health’s Cambridge Hospital. The shoot took place over two days in Cambridge with a crew consisting of two camera operators and two production assistants. The project was in post-production for around four weeks, with the edit, graphics and colour grade all completed by myself.
The final piece was used as the featured piece of content for Nuffield Health’s summer vision loss campaign, with the video receiving over 500,000 views. It was also used in conjunction with a door drop campaign, directing potential customers to watch Bruce’s story.
